We’re excited to continue the tradition of welcoming youth from nearby schools to perform at our annual tree lighting event. A big thank you to the Oregon Repertory Singers Children’s Choir, Findley Elementary, Stoller Middle School, Westview Choir, and Westview Jazz Band for joining us at our 2026 Tree Lighting!

Visit Santa Claus during the Bethany Village Tree Lighting and Holiday Market to share wishlists and take a free photo!
Expectations and Rules
- Santa will be arriving to his tent for photos right after the tree lighting countdown. He will be taking photos with kids and families until 8 PM.
- A photographer will not be provided. Families are responsible for bringing their own mobile devices or cameras to capture a photo with Santa.
- Please have phones or cameras ready and everyone in the group present and ready prior to reaching the front of the line. This helps to ensure the line moves continuously giving Santa a chance to meet everyone.
- Photos with Santa is open to all ages and people. Individuals and groups alike are welcome to come take a photo with Santa.
Directions
Bethany Village is located in the Bethany neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, and can be conveniently accessed via Highway 26.
For those driving, we offer free street and lot parking.
If you’re traveling to Bethany Village by public transportation, the TriMet bus routes 47 & 67 stop right across the street from us.

Free Parking
Free parking is available throughout the Bethany Village lots. Arrive a little early, as spaces fill up quickly during the event.
Shop Local
Bring a tote and get a head start on your holiday shopping with gifts from local makers and Bethany Village shops.
Pets Welcome
Leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome to join the fun. Sweaters encouraged! Please pick up after your pet.
Rain or Shine
This is Oregon! The event will happen rain or shine, so dress warm and come prepared for the weather.
Accessible for All
Sidewalks throughout Bethany Village are easily accessible for strollers and wheelchairs.
Leave the Wheels at Home
E-bikes and e-scooters are not permitted on Bethany Village property. Please walk to keep everyone safe.
